Travel & Hotel Management

Travel and Hotel Management jobs are as diverse as the different regions of the world. This program will give you the skills you need to be a successful member of the travel and hospitality industry.

There is an abundance of information about the travel and hotel industry available electronically but the average customer wants to deal with an expert, and that expert could be you! A specific area of growth in travel and hotel management centers around gaming, cruises and resort management.

One of the things that sets the University’s travel and hotel management program apart is that students will have opportunities to travel domestically and internationally and earn college credit while they attend the University. A student who personally experiences travel opportunities, is better prepared to plan and serve future clients and be successful in the travel industry.

In-class field trips will include ‘behind the scenes’ tours of hotels, restaurants, and other tourist destinations. Hotel management jobs are as diverse as the different regions of the world, which includes the gaming industry and the surging job opportunities in hotels and resorts associated with casinos.

UNOH’s program also includes courses in Event Planning. This involves putting together corporate meetings, fundraisers, conventions, trade shows, parties, weddings, and sporting events. Many organizations are now hiring professional event planners, and the demand is very high for people who love to be in charge of all the arrangements.

The travel industry has changed dramatically in recent years, and while more information is available electronically, new opportunities have opened up for web-based agents working from home, specializing in Travel & Hotel Management.
